Important Update
While we are fully qualified and highly experienced in playground inspections, we are no longer offering this service due to the rising costs of insurance. However, we continue to support playground safety through our specialized cleaning, restoration, and maintenance services.
What Is a Playground Inspection?
A playground inspection is conducted to identify potential hazards that may arise from everyday use. Regular inspections help ensure that play areas remain safe, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
What Does a Playground Inspection Cover?
Our inspections focus on identifying both visible hazards and maintenance needs, including but not limited to:
Vandalism – Graffiti, fire damage, or physical destruction
Cleanliness – Presence of moss, algae, bird droppings, and tree sap
Softfall Condition – Ensuring surfaces are clean and free from debris
Surrounding Area Maintenance – Checking for litter and general upkeep
Fencing & Signage – Visual inspection for damage or missing components
Public Amenities – Assessing tables, chairs, BBQ areas, and pathways
Vegetation & Weed Control – Managing overgrowth and potential trip hazards
Structural Fixings – Ensuring all bolts, fasteners, and connections are secure

How Often Is an Inspection Required?
The frequency of inspections depends on several factors, including usage levels, environmental conditions, and client-specific needs. At Play Safe and Sound (PSAS), we work closely with our clients to tailor an inspection schedule that aligns with their safety and maintenance requirements.
Let us help you create a safe and well-maintained play environment with our expert services.
